Gender imbalance exists in the genetic counseling profession, with approximately 95% of genetic counselors identifying as female. Genetic counseling programs in Australia have increased the proportion of male student enrolments in recent years, although this is yet to have an impact on gender balance in the profession more broadly. While significant resources have been allocated to improving female representation in traditionally male professions, there has not been a reciprocal movement of men into traditionally female professions. Lipofermata The lower status awarded to traditionally female roles creates a disincentive for men to choose non-traditional career paths. Although genetic counselors have expertise in both genetics and counseling, the profession is viewed as a predominantly helping profession and therefore ‘women’s work’. Men who work in traditionally female roles report role strain and stereotyping, which affect experiences at work and challenge personal identities. Male advantage is also documented, especially with respect to salary. There remains a lack of understanding of the effect of gender imbalance on aspects of patient care, genetic counselor training and education, and genetic counseling research.

Flavones are widely used in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) and are the pharmacologically active ingredients of many medicinal plants, such as Dendrobium. With the increasing demand for medicinal Dendrobium, the identification of characteristic flavones that can serve as chemical markers for quality control is critical for quality assurance and safety in the TCM industry.

High-performance liquid chromatography coupled with electrospray ionisation multistage tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC-ESI-MS/MS) was used to identify the chemical constituents in five types of Dendrobium D. crystallinum, D. falconeri, D. strongylanthum, D. moniliforme, and D. gratiosissimum.

A total of seventy-six C-glycosyl flavones and three O-glycosyl flavones were identified, of which fifteen C-glycosyl flavones were found in D. crystallinum, twenty four were found in D. falconeri, thirty were found in D. strongylanthum, seven were found in D. moniliforme (also called “Huangtongpi”, from Anhui, China), fifteen were found in D. moniliforme (also called “Zitongpi”, from Yunnan, China) and seventeen were found in D. gratiosissimum. Additionally, three flavone O-glycosides were found in D. strongylanthum.

The results of this study may be useful for quality assessment and for the application of D. crystallinum, D. falconeri, D. strongylanthum, D. moniliforme, D. gratiosissimum. This study provides comprehensive information for the identification of flavones from other Chinese herbs.

An atomic design of defective interfaces in spin-orbit-coupled transition-metal oxides can be an appealing strategy to achieve this goal. In this work, by utilizing the distinct formation energies and diffusion barriers of oxygen vacancies at SrRuO3 /SrTiO3 (001), a sharp interface is constructed between oxygen-deficient and stoichiometric SrRuO3 . This interfacial inversion-symmetry breaking leads to a sizable DMI, which can induce skyrmionic magnetic bubbles and the topological Hall effect in a more than 10 unit-cell-thick SrRuO3 . This topological spin texture can be reversibly manipulated through the migration of oxygen vacancies under electric gating. In particular, the topological Hall signal can be deterministically switched ON and OFF. This result implies that the defect-engineered topological spin textures may offer an alternate perspective for future skyrmion-based memristor and synaptic devices.

Diffusion weighted imaging (DWI) is fundamental for prostate cancer (PCa) detection with MRI; however, limited by susceptibility artifact from hip prosthesis.

To evaluate image quality and ability to detect PCa with quantitative T2-mapping and DWI in men with hip prosthesis undergoing prostate MRI.

    Prospective, cross-sectional study.

Thirty consecutive men with hip replacement (18 unilateral, 12 bilateral) undergoing prostate MRI from 2019 to 2021.

    3-T; multiparametric MRI (T2W, DCE-MRI, echo-planar [EPI]-DWI), T2-mapping (Carr-Purcell-Meiboom-Gill), FOCUS-EPI-DWI, PROPELLER-DWI.

Five blinded radiologists independently evaluated MRI image quality using a 5-point Likert scale. PI-RADS v2.1 scores were applied in four interpretation strategies 1) T2W-FSE+DCE-MRI+EPI-DWI, 2) T2W-FSE+DCE-MRI+EPI-DWI+FOCUS-EPI-DWI, 3) T2W-FSE+DCE-MRI+EPI-DWI+PROPELLER-DWI, 4) T2W-FSE+DCE-MRI+EPI-DWI+T2-maps. Five-point confidence scores were recorded.

ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis with pair-wise comparisons by Wilcoxon sign-le adjunct to prostate MRI in men with hip replacement resulting in improved image quality, higher reader confidence, interobserver agreement, and accuracy in PI-RADS scoring.

1 TECHNICAL EFFICACY STAGE 2.The emerging CsPbI3 perovskites are highly efficient and thermally stable materials for wide-band gap perovskite solar cells (PSCs), but the doped hole transport materials (HTMs) accelerate the undesirable phase transition of CsPbI3 in ambient. Herein, a dopant-free D-π-A type HTM named CI-TTIN-2F has been developed which overcomes this problem. The suitable optoelectronic properties and energy-level alignment endow CI-TTIN-2F with excellent charge collection properties. Moreover, CI-TTIN-2F provides multisite defect-healing effects on the defective sites of CsPbI3 surface. Inorganic CsPbI3 PSCs with CI-TTIN-2F HTM feature high efficiencies up to 15.9 %, along with 86 % efficiency retention after 1000 h under ambient conditions. Inorganic perovskite solar modules were also fabricated that exhibiting an efficiency of 11.0 % with a record area of 27 cm2 . This work confirms that using efficient dopant-free HTMs is an attractive strategy to stabilize inorganic PSCs for their future scale-up.
