Involving all residents from R1 to R4, a descriptive causal-comparative study was implemented at FM programs in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, during January and February of 2021. A survey, the Postgraduate Hospital Educational Environment Measure (PHEEM) questionnaire, was employed in this research. A cross-sectional evaluation focused on hospitals (Level 2, 3, and 4) within Kolar district used a developed TCS assessment tool. This involved analysis of records, observation of facilities, and interviews with concerned stakeholders to gather the data. The emergency room (ER) data collection, conducted objectively, included macro areas, human resources, infrastructure, equipment, and medication. A scoring and comparative analysis of TCS was undertaken, referencing the WHO essential guidelines for Trauma Care. Based on the percentage of expected standards attained, TCS was graded accordingly. Formal ethical review and informed consent were granted.
The assessment process included every Level 2, 3, and 4 hospital, totaling 39 across both public and private sectors, that was eligible and located within the district.
